Kraftanlagen Heidelberg GmbH plans, supplies and installs process engineering systems in nuclear power plants and research facilities. We offer maintenance and inspection work and retrofit measures. Our services include the post-operation and dismantling of nuclear facilities as well as the planning and supply of equipment for conditioning and disposal of radioactive waste. As a service provider, we prepare the documentation of radioactive waste for the Konrad repository as required by BGE. Our engineers and scientists contribute to large European projects such as CERN and ITER, helping to translate research results into industrial scale.
Kraftanlagen Heidelberg GmbH supports the project partners with its many years of experience in the development and implementation of innovative decontamination concepts based on practical examples. These include surface decontamination of walls during the dismantling of nuclear facilities and methods for decontaminating contaminated objects from the dismantling of nuclear facilities. We advise our project partners in the development of strategies for the autonomous/semi-autonomous removal of soil and in the determination of the distribution and dispersion of hazardous substances in landfills and contaminated sites.
